The project shall through the use of user participation, with school children and teachers at Tunaskolan in Luleå, combined with smart technology and design of new innovative ways to develop new visualization methods for reducing energy consumption.
We want to work with school children, tomorrow's decision makers, and through their "normal" communication channels (Internet, Web 2.0, Facebook, etc.) to disseminate and engage on energy and the environment.
By building the demonstrator, we want to learn how and what to focus on in order to both save energy, but also contribute to a greater awareness of areas. We know that young people today much faster spreading "good" information and the main focus of the project is to work with young people understand what and how energy use is visualized to "reach out" and spread.
Our goal is to involve the school, students, teachers and visitors, to contribute ideas on how to save energy and protect the environment. Together with project partners, new Internet-based applications developed for visualization of real-time metered energy use. The approach will be based on the short and rapid iterations bring new versions of the developed applications "in the hands" of young people who have been involved and designed themselves how applications should look to present energy consumption in a simple way.
